Steven Seagal is a semi-white film star and a 7th degree black belt in Aikido. He was offered his 8th degree belt but did not have time to fly to Japan to accept it. Sensei Seagal has been a fighter all his life, and is now the head coach of Anderson Silva, and also of Lyoto Machida, except when Lyoto fought Shogun, Rampage and Jones. He could not train with Lyoto for those fights. Sensei has billed himself as “the Greg Jackson” of the old world, due to his uncanny ability to strategize and improve his pupils’ front kicks. Despite gaining weight since the filming of Under Siege 1, 2 and 3, Sensei is still considered by many, including Ariel Helwani, to be the deadliest and most decorated martial artist in the time-space continuum.
